Army Education Corps – Havildar Education in Group ‘X’ and ‘Y’ Examination

Basic Information regarding Exam
Havildar Education in Group ‘X’ and ‘Y’ are to be recruited for the Army Education Corps to impact education to troops. Only male candidates are eligible.

Age limit
20 to 25 years on the date of enrolment.

Minimum Educational Qualification
The candidates for enrolment should have working knowledge of either English or Hindi or both and should have graduated with at least two of the following subjects:

(a) BSc:
(i) Mathematics,
(ii) Physics,
(iii) Chemistry,
(iv) Botany,
(v) Zoology,
(vi)Electronics, and
(vii) Computer Science.

(b) BA:
(i) English Literature,
(ii) Hindi
Literature,
(iii) Urdu,
(iv) History,
(v) Geography,
(vi) Political Science,
(vii) Economics,
(viii) Psychology,
(ix) Mathematics, and
(x) Sociology.

Group ‘X’: BA BEd/BSc BEd/MNMSc from a recognised university.
Group’Y': BSc/BA from a recognised university.

Details Regarding Selection Procedure

Interivews Test/ Personality Test
Screening of candidates will be carried out as per the programme issued by Recruiting Offices. Only those candidates selected in the screening will be permitted to appear in Written Examination which will be conducted only at Recruiting Offices. The Written Examination will consist of one composite paper of 3 hours duration, composed of the following parts:

(i) Part 1: Compulsory for all candidates. It will consist of Section A on General English and Section B on General Knowledge both of class XII standard.

(ii) Part 11 (Science of BSc Standard): Compulsory for MSc/BSc candidates. This part is further sub-divided into four sections covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Candidates will be required to attempt questions from at least two sections.

(iii) Part 111 (Humanities of BA Standard): Compulsory for MSc/BSc candidates. This part is further sub-divided into four sections covering History, Geography, Economics and Political Science. Candidates will be required to attempt questions from at least two sections.

MA/BA candidates with Mathematics may attempt questions from Mathematics section of Part II and at least one more section of Part III.

Answers may be given in only English or Hindi.

Physical Standards
As applicable to the Regular Anny.

Other Information

The candidates declared successful in the above Written Examination and placed in the merit list will appear for Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview to be conducted at AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi (MP). Candidates qualifying in these Tests and Interview will undergo medical examination. Those found physically and medically fit will be enrolled in the Army Education Corps as per the overall merit list. The candidates will be provided with free messing and accommodation during their stay at Pachmarhi for the Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview.

Pay and Allowances:
Selected candidates are entitled for pay and allowances as applicable.

In addition to the above, liberal pension, promotion prospects, Group Insurance, Army Welfare Housing Scheme, 60 days annual leave and 30 days casual leave, free medical treatment for self, family and dependents, free rations and other allowances as admissible to the regular Army.

Terms of Enrolment:
Individual will be enrolled for a period of 20 years with colour service and 3 years in reserve or till they attain 47 years of age, whichever is earlier.

Training:
Selected candidates will undergo Military and Technical Training for nearly one year at Grenadiers Regimental Centre, Jabalpur and AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi (MP) respectively.

Diploma in Teaching:
On successful completion of their Technical Training the recruits may be sponsored for the Diploma in Teaching Examination conducted by a recognised University.

    i went to join the indian army as an officer ,as a havildar education .my eligibilty i have done my bca frm punjab tech university punjab and my age is 23.10.1986.
    pls sugesst me
