Central Police Organisations: Assistant Commandants/Deputy Superintendent of Police/Company Commander in BSF/CRPF/ITB Police Examinations
Basic Information regarding Exam
Applications are invited from Indian citizens for appointment to Group ‘ A ‘ post of Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Central Reserve Police Force, Company Commander in Indo- Tibetan Border Police and Assistant Commandant in Border Security Force, Ministry ofHome Affairs, Government of India.
19 to 25 years of age. Upper age limit is relaxable as per the prevailing rules.
Minimum Educational Qualification
The candidates must be in possession of Bachelor’s Degree of a recognised university or equivalent. Possession of NCC ‘B’ or NCC ‘C’ certificate or outstanding sports or athletic certificates will be an added qualification.
Rs 50/-. No fee for SC/ST candidates.

Interivews Test/ Personality Test
Scheme of Examination and Selection:
The selection process will consist of three parts as follows:
Part I: Written Examination: It consists of two papers. In Paper I, the candidates
will be tested in the following aspects:
(a) General Awareness;
(b) General Intelligence and Reasoning;
(c) Numerical Ability. In Paper II, candidate’s ability to read and understand serious discussive prose and to express his ideas clearly and correctly will bl: tested. It comprises of
(a) Essay (in Hindi or English);
(b) Precis Writing; and
(c) Comprehension (b and c in English only).
Part II: Physical Efficiency Test: This test shall comprise the following items. Failure even in one item of this test will amount to disqualification.
(i) lOO metres race to be completed in 16 seconds( 18 seconds for women candidates).
(ii) 800 metres race to be completed in 3 minutes (4 minutes for women candidates).
(iii) Long Jump: 3.50 metres (3 metres for women candidates).
(iv) High Jump: 1.05 metres (0.90 metres for women candidates).
(v) Short Put (7.26 kg) 4.50 metres (not for women candidates).
Part III: Interview or Personality Test carrying. Those who qualify in Part land
Part II are called for the Interview.
Male candidates should satisfy the minimum physical standards namely:
(i) Height: 165 cms;
(ii) Chest: 81 cms unexpected and 86 cms expanded;
(iii) Weight: 50 kgs. For female candidates: Height: 157 cms and Weight: according to height but not less than 46 kgs.
(a) Eye Sight:
(i) Distant Vision: Better eye correct vision 6/6 or 6/9. Worse eye correct vision 6/12 or 6/9;
(ii) Near Vision: Better eye correct vision J-I; Worse eye correct vision J-II;
(b) Colour Vision: Candidates for appointment to all Group ‘ A ‘ posts in central Police Organisations are required to pass high grade colour vision tests;
( c) The candidates must not have knock knees, flat feet or squint in eyes. They must be in good mentat and bodily health and free from any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
It should, however, be clearly understood that the Government of India reserves to themselves, absolute discretion to reject or accept any candidate after considering the report of the medical board.

Applications duly filled along with the required documents must be on the prescribe format as published in Newspapers. The detailed information of all requirements is also given with the application form. The applications should reach ‘The Secretary , Special Selection Board, Directorate General, BSF, Block No 10, Kendriya Karayalaya Parisar, Lodi Road, New Delhi’, or on the address as may be specified.
Selection is made on the basis of merit. Selected candidates shall be liable to serve anywhere in the Union of India or outside.
