National Thermal Power Corporation Limited :Engineering Executive Trainees

Basic Information regarding Exam
Applications are invited from Engineering Graduates (as and when the vacancies exist) for a career in Power Management in the units of National Thermal Power Corporation.

Age limit
Upper age limit is 27 years as on Jan 1 of the year of examination. (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC).

Minimum Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognised University in Electrical/Electronics or Telecommunication/Instrumentation/Mechanical discipline with not less than 65 per cent marks in aggregate in all years/semesters. Final year/semester students who expect their results by August 1 of the year of examination may also apply provided they have obtained at least 65 per cent marks in aggregate of all years/ semesters upto pre-final examination(s). Candidates with AMIE or equivalent qualification may apply only if they have cleared both sections A and B with not less than 65 per cent marks in aggregate.

While computing percentage of marks, ignore fraction/decimal and indicate marks
in two-digit number only e.g. 64.9% = 64%. A mere pass marks are needed for SC/
STs.

Other Releated Information Regarding Eligibility Conditions
Applicants should have sound health. Candidates with Myopia and Hypermetropia exceeding +/-4.00, squint and colour blindness, partial or full, need not apply. No relaxation in health standards is allowed.

Applications should be sent in the prescribed proforma published Newspapers, along with the specified requirements to the Sr Personnel Office- , NTPC Ltd, NTPC Bhavan, Core- 7, Scope Complex, 7, Institutional Area, Lodi oad, New Delhi-llOO03.

Other Information
Eligible candidates will have to undergo an obective Type Selection Test (OT). The shortlisted candidates thereof will have to appear for Personal Interview with the Company’s Central Selection Board. The OT consists of two parts viz part I -Technical Knowledge Test (TKT) and Il-Executive Aptitude Test (EAT).

Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of one year at NTPC’s projects, stations and other technical training institutes. Depending on overall suitability, as adjudged through periodic appraisal of performance during training, candidates will be placed in any of the functions in NTPC’s projects, stations or offices in various parts of the country.

Service Bond: The selected candidates will be required to execute a service reement bond to successfully complete the prescribed training and thereafter rve the company for at least 3 years
