Basic Information regarding Exam
National Fire Academy, Vadodara Sub-Officers Course
18 to 25 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and is 27 years for candidates serving in the recognised Fire Services.
Minimum Educational Qualification
HSC (10 + 2), preferably Graduate or certificate of fireman from AIILSG with 2 years experience. Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend instructions both in Hindi and English.
Centre of Examination
Vadodara, Mumbai, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Bhopal and New Delhi.
Details Regarding Selection Procedure
Medically fit candidates shall have height not less than 165 cms ( 160 cms for candidates of hilly regions).
How to Apply
Candidates should apply to “The Director of The National Fire Academy, Nehru Bhavan, Rajmahal Road, Vadodara-390001, Gujarat” when the admission notice is published in Leading Newspapers generally in the month of June/July.
The Interview will be conducted in one session comprising of Personal Interview on the same day covering General English, General Knowledge and General Science. The duration of each Fire Sub-Officers Course is 33 weeks out of which 21 weeks will be conducted at the Academy and 12 weeks as honorary extended period of Practical Attachment at major fire Stations in the country at the discretion of the Academy.
Grant of Admission: Admission will be granted to the candidates based on the overall order of merit on the basis of Personal Interview. Results will be communicated to the selected candidates only by post
