Eligibility
Citizens of India applying for scholarships for study towards the degree of Ph.D must be under the age of 26 in October & must have a first class honours degree, or its equivalent, from a recognised university. Those who have, in addition, a first class Master’s Degree, or its equivalent, may be given preference.

Other Information
The following scholarships for research are offered in collaboration with the Cambridge Common Wealth Trust.
The Nehru Trust for Cambridge University offers up to eight Cambridge Nehru Scholarships annually to citizens of India wishing to pursue a course of research at Cambridge leading to the degree of Ph.D.
The Hinduja Cambridge Trust offers two scholarships annually to citizens of India wishing to pursue a course of research at Cambridge leading to the degree of Ph.D.
The Jawarharlal Nehru Memorial Fund offers two scholarships annually to citizens of India wishing to pursue a course of research at Cambridge leading to the degree of Ph.D. Preference may be given to candidates in the broad fields of Science Policy, Technology & Global Restructuring, Philosophy & History of Science, Comparative studies in Religion & Culture. International Relations & Constitutional Studies, Indian History, Civilisation & Culture, Interface of Social Change & Economic Development, Environmental Ecology & Sustainable Development.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Trust & Trinity College offers one scholarships annually, tenable at Trinity College, for study towards the degree of Ph.D.
Value : Scholarships for study towards the degree of Ph.D. are tenable for up to three years. They will cover the fees, a maintenance allowance sufficient for a single student & a return economy airfare.
