Section Officers (Audit) Examination

Basic Information regarding Exam
Staff Selection Commission holds a competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Section Officers (Audit) in the various offices under Comptroller and Auditor General of India. The examination may be held after the gap of several years.

Age limit
18 to 25 years as on specified date.

Minimum Educational Qualification
Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University with 50% marks.

Hindi Translators Examination

Basic Information regarding Exam
Staff Selection Commission holds a combined examination for making recruitment to the posts of Junior Hindi Translators in the Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Govt of India allover the country in the following two Categories:

Category A:
(a) Hindi Translators in the Central Secretariat Official Language Service.

(b) Junior Hindi Translators in Armed Forces Headquarters Service.

Category B:
Junior Hindi Translators in the Subordinate Offices like the All India Radio,
Doordarshan Kendras, Central Excise, Income Tax, etc.

Graduate Level Combined Examination-Main Examination (Group-B)

Transmission Executive Examination

Basic Information regarding Exam
This examination is held for recruitment to the posts of Transmission Executives (General and Production) at various stations of All India Radio/Doordarshan. This examination may be held after the gap of several years.

Age limit
18 to 30 years as on specified date of the year in which examination is held. Upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Physicall) Handicapped, etc., as per rules.

Matric Level Combined Examination-Preliminary Examination

Basic Information regarding Exam
Staff Selection Commission holds a Combined Preliminary Examination in the month of May for selecting candidates for the Main Examinations for the following Recruitments:

I. Clerks Grade
II. Grade ‘D’ Stenographers
III. Grade ‘C’ Stenographers

The Recruitment to the above posts will be in the following groups of services/ offices:

(a) Group ‘X’
(b) Group’Y’ (for Clerks and Steno ‘D’ only)

The posts under Group’ X’ are in the Ministries/Departments of Central Govt and mainly located in Delhi. The posts under Group ‘Y’ are mainly in subordinate and other offices of Central Govt located in different States/Union Territories.

Nationality
As defined by the Constitution of India.

Age limit

Senior Observers Examination

Basic Information regarding Exam
This examination is held by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of Senior Observers in the various Meteorological Centres of India Meteorological Department, throughout the country. It is not certain that this examination will be held every year.

Age limit
20 to 25 years on specified date of the year of examination. Upper age limit is relaxable for certain other categories of persons as per Government orders in force. Age concession is not admissible to the sons/daughters of Ex-Servicemen and persons belonging to OBCs.

Minimum Educational Qualification
BSc of a recognised University with Physics as one of the subjects.

Basic Information regarding Exam
Staff Selection Commission holds a combined Preliminary Examination in the month of February for selecting candidates for the Main Examinations for the following recruitments:
A. Assistants Grade, (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted) for the groups of services/offices like AFHQ, CSS, Railway Board, IFS(B) and Posts in offices like Research Designs and Standards Organisation, Central Vigilance Commission, etc.

B. Inspectors of Central Excise, Income Tax, Preventive Officer in Custom Houses, Assistant Enforcement Officers, Examiner ( Ordinary Grade) in Custom Houses.

Information Assistants Examination

Basic Information regarding Exam
The Commission holds a combined competitive Written Examination for the posts of Information Assistants in the Govt of India Tourist Offices, Dept of Tourism, Govt of India.

Age limit 21 to 25 years (upper age limit is 28 years for OBC and 30 years for SC/ST).

Minimum Educational Qualification
(i) Degree.
(ii) General Knowledge and familiarity with places of Tourist interest in India.
(iii) Knowledge of various places of Indian History, Architecture both ancient and modern.

DESIRED: Knowledge of specified foreign language other than English and experience in travel or publicity firm.

Details Regarding Selection Procedure

Interivews Test/ Personality Test
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their educational qualifications, academic records, percentage of marks, etc. may be required to undergo a Written Proficiency Test. Those who qualify are called for Interview. Final selection is done on All India basis in order of merit as disclosed by the aggregate marks in Proficiency Test and Interview.

Investigators Examination

Basic Information regarding Exam
This examination is held once a year for recruitment of Investigators in National Semple Organisation (Field Operation Division), Ministry of Planning, all over the country.

Age limit
20 to 28 years on January 1 / August of the year of examination. Upper age limit relaxable for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and such other categories of persons as may from time to time be notified in this behalf by the Government of India to the extent and subject to the conditions notified in respect of each category.

Minimum Educational Qualification
